Sermon On The Mount
Pursuing Your Kingdom Life Part 14, Decisions Determine Destiny
Sun 19 April, 2015
(Rod Thom)
Summary
With only a couple of weeks left in the Sermon on the Mount, it ends with four warnings that focus on the final events in the history of the world and mankind, each are paired contrasts that require from us a decision: two ways (vv. 13–14), two trees (vv. 15–20), two claims (vv. 21–23), and in a couple of weeks David will look at two builders (vv. 24–27).
The theme/context is still the kingdom of heaven and the reality is that some will enter and some will not, and this is based solely on our response to the words of Jesus. What we decide to do with the Words of Jesus will determine our destiny.
